Learn to assess local streams! In this introductory-level workshop, you will discover the meaning of water quality and how to measure it. Many scientific concepts will be covered, but at a level that a non-scientist can certainly understand through classroom discussion, hands-on chemical analysis using simplified methods, and collection and identification of aquatic insects.
After attending this training, you can perform your own stream analysis as a Hoosier Riverwatch volunteer and may submit data to the Hoosier Riverwatch online database. (Monitoring streams and submitting data is not required after attending this training but it is available to you if you are interested.) Learn more: https://www.hoosierriverwatch.com/
