The Ouabache Land Conservancy is a 501(c)3 non-profit land trust that provides land protection services in Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties. This year OLC welcomes Brendan Kearns as the guest speaker for our 11th annual celebration on October 28, 2021. Brendan is an OLC Board Member, Vigo County Commissioner, and Wabash River Enthusiast. The title of Brendan’s presentation is “He Moved the Wabash River. “ A story about a man who moved the Wabash at the southern end of Vigo County in the late 1800s: From wetlands to agriculture to publicly owned conservation land.
Please join OLC at The Red Barn at Sycamore Farm (5001 E. Poplar St., Terre Haute) for food, networking, learning more about OLC, and Brendan's presentation. Social hour with a silent auction begins at 6:00 pm, with dinner at 7:00 pm. This event is open to the public with a minimum paid 2021 OLC membership of $25 (per couple/family) or $15 for new members (per couple/family). The meal cost is an additional $25 per adult and $10 per child (under 12). RSVP (with any dietary restrictions) and payment via a mailed check are required by October 21.
